I’m stocking my freezer with a few things before baby #3 arrives! I’m not the biggest fan of freezer meals, but they are so stinking convenient when you aren’t able to do anything except nurse a baby all day!
Something that I thought would be handy for a quick breakfast, lunch or dinner was breakfast burritos! I threw some together a couple of days ago and stashed them in the freezer.
They’ll be good for up to 3 months, so they’ll be long gone by then for us!
Mine cost about $5.58 total to make, so just $0.93 each to make!
Ingredients and the cost in my area:
- 5 eggs: $1.25
- Tater Rounds (leftover in my freezer!): $0.75
- 1 cup Shredded Cheese: $0.70
- 4 slices bacon: $2.00
- 6 tortillas: $0.88 (I did use gluten free which is slightly more expensive than regular, but included the regular flour tortilla price)
Here is how I put these freezer breakfast burritos together!
First I put out all of my ingredients. You can totally go crazy here and put whatever you like! We had some tater tots leftover in the freezer, but you could totally use regular potatoes, hash browns, rice, or whatever sounds good to you!
I put a little bit of each ingredient into a tortilla and rolled it up burrito style (tucking the sides in while rolling so it won’t all spill out!)
Then, I put them in the skillet for just a couple of minutes on each side to get the nice brown and toasty side. It also helps to seal off the seam so that nothing unrolls and falls out!
Then, I put them all into freezer bags and they’ll be ready to pull out and pop into the microwave when I need them!
What are your favorite things to put in the freezer before you have a baby?
Let me know!
