We’re done with eating Keto for a little while, and I’m SO excited to start putting rice, potatoes and beans into the meal plan again!
You don’t really realize until you cut out a food from your regular meal line up, just how much you rely on it! At least I didn’t!
Rice is (and probably always will be!) a staple in our house. There is nothing more comforting to me than a warm plate of something that has rice in it. Chicken and rice in any form, you can sign me up and better believe I will eat two servings!
That being said, I am limiting our foods a little bit for the cause of simplicity and saving money for the next several cycles.
For the next few weeks, I’m using only 5 ingredients to make all of our dinners for 10 days.
It’s been really fun and helped me to focus on being a little bit creative in the kitchen!
It’s also saving money. My goal is to show you exactly how you can cook simple healthy meals for your family with just a few ingredients that don’t cost a lot of money!
For February 1-10, I’ll be cooking dinner only with:
- Ground Beef
- Pinto Beans
- Carrots
- Russet Potatoes
- Cheese
The total I spent on all of the food for this week was $94.62.
